Story Sam Childers , a bikie who uses  a lot drugs an alcohol is released from jail to find his wife and daughter "have found god". Sam is not happy with this and gets into an argument . After killing a man in self defence , Sam goes to church and gets baptised . After that Sam buys a business and goes to Sudan with his business. when he goes there he experiences war there and wants to go and help. He buys a orphanage and builds a church for the children .
My say on the movie : this is a very powerful and emotional movie , even though it skips a few years a third of the way threw without any  notice except the daughters older and has swapped actresses .   Gerard Butler shows he can really act , and so do Michelle Monaghan and Madeline Carroll.. Its a movie that only needs to be watched once , but it was done really well.

Kaspar: Prince of Cats

Name of book: Kaspar: Prince of Cats
Author: Michael Morpurgo
Illustrator: Michael Foreman
Published in: 2008

Review: This is a book by one of my favourite authors Michael Morpurgo (who usually writes animal stories).

This is a really good book , really emotional and happy. Its about a bell boy (who's name is Johnny trotter) who gets attached to a lady and her cat ( whose name is Kaspar) . After an indecent (which I am not going to spoil) , the boy and the cat befriend a girl ( whose name is Lizziebeth) , who is going to be board the famous ship TITANIC . This book is not too long and is one you just can not put down . I read it in just one day. its one you just can not put down . Its 200 pages but its really enjoyable.

My rating: ***** out of *****
Age recommendation: 11 and up
